Do I need any experience to book a beginner lesson?
None at all! These lessons are built specifically for people who have never fly fished. David starts with the absolute fundamentals and moves at your pace.
Do I need to bring my own gear?
No. David provides rods, reels, flies, and all terminal tackle. Just bring a valid fishing license and dress for the weather.
Will I actually catch fish, or just learn?
Both are the goal. While a lesson focuses on building real skills, David puts you on productive water and does everything he can to get you into fish, because nothing builds confidence like landing one.
Is this a good gift for someone?
It's a great one. A beginner lesson is a memorable, experience-based gift for anyone who's wanted to try fly fishing.
Can kids take a beginner lesson?
Yes. David works with young anglers and keeps the instruction patient and approachable, which makes it a great option for kids and for parents and children learning together.
Do I need a fishing license?
Yes. A valid Pennsylvania or New York fishing license is required depending on where you fish, and it's the angler's responsibility to have one before the lesson.
